Borghilenti Festival 2024

From May 31st to June 2nd, 2024, in Castelnuovo Bocca d’Adda, in the province of Lodi, the first edition of BorghilentiFestival will take place. This festival focuses on territorial and cultural regeneration and offers three days of meetings, concerts, performances, workshops, walks, and guided tours dedicated to themes such as slow tourism, environment and sustainability, social inclusion, and the revitalization of small towns.

The Festival is part of the Borghilenti project, implemented by the Municipality of Castelnuovo Bocca d’Adda in collaboration with the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies of the Politecnico di Milano. The project, winner of the Borghi Call by the Ministry of Culture funded through the PNRR, takes advantage of the ciclovia VENTO (currently under construction) to jointly work on slow tourism, social inclusion, historic center recovery, and cultural revitalization of the village. It aims to develop and test a model of urban regeneration that aspires to be a replicable strategy in small and medium-sized coastal towns involved or close to the ciclovia VENTO.
