The Musical Acoustics Research Laboratory is dedicated to the development of advanced technologies to improve the tradition of lutherie, systematic methods to qualitatively assess the physical and acoustic characteristics of wooden stringed musical instruments, and technologies to enhance the image of Cremona around the world.
The laboratory is located in the nascent Palazzo dell'Arte in Cremona, a location that offers the possibility of collecting and organizing an enormous amout of data and measurements on the wooden stringed instruments that are destined to pass through the connected violin museum.
